Rich and Varied Activities
We offer a rich variety of activities especially prepared for young children where they can experience many aspects of French life and culture, as well as having the opportunity to practise their French.
All our tours are tailor made to your own requirements and you can select from one or more of the activities shown below to suit your own particular trip requirements. Our aim is to work with you to develop a school trip that meets your budget and above all ensures the safety and enjoyment of your group. You can rest assured that our agents personally visit all the activities featured in your tour as part of their Safety Management Systems. Activities in Nord Pas de Calais
- Nausicaa National Centre of Aquatic Life - children are taught about the sea and its environment. The children are able to obtain close up views of sharks and sea lions through special glass windows.
- Traditional Sweet Shop - children have the opportunity to have a go at making, as well as sampling, the different types of hand-made sweets.
- French bakery - children are taught how to make croissants by a professional chef. Making the croissants proves great fun but eating them is even better!
- Shopping in a local market or supermarket - provides other opportunities to look at local produce and to practise speaking in French, as well as buying any souvenirs.
- Chocolate factory - the children are given a short talk on cocoa followed by a demonstration on how chocolate is made. The high-light of the visit for the children is usually the sampling of different types of chocolate!
- Beach activities - including Sand sailing, Kite flying and making - the children enjoy expert tuition with experienced instructors.
- Bee and Honey Factory - where the children discover everything about the life of the bee as well as having a go at making their own wax candles that they are given at the end of the tour together with a pot of honey.
- Local Farm - All the children have chance to make their own bread and cheese from scratch and whilst the bread is being baked, they can visit and milk the farm goats!! At the end of the visit, the pupils are able to taste their own produce, warm bread & fresh cheese - truly delicious.
- 2nd World War Museum - bringing to life the horrors of the war about which they have learned in their history lessons.
- Visit to a local school – children are welcomed into the classroom and spend time finding out about what school life is like in France for their French peers.
- Museum d’Opale Sud
- Bayeux - to view the world famous Bayuex Tapestry which describes William the conqueror’s landing in England and the Battle of Hastings
- Ranville to the Pegasus Bridge - the first bridge in France to be liberated and the town of Arromanches to the “Circular Cinema”.
- French Zoo - the children see over 500 animals from around the world.
- Town Trail – in the old part of Boulogne

- Apple Farm Factory
- Snail Farm – children can see how snails are cultivated and even taste them!!!
- Marëis – in Etaples, a museum based on the life of fishermen, with hands on activities for the children to do.
- Agincourt – a visit to the museum
- Shadow Puppet Theatre – a museum dedicated to different kinds of puppets including a puppet play.
- La Grange aux Louches – children get the chance to discover tools used to work wood in olden days and have a go at making something out of wood.
